Verhulsts
have been in the boxer breed since 1958. Their first
boxer was a plain female named "Rocksy"
who loved obedience. Bob enjoyed working with her
and prepare her for competition. She won a few obedience
trophies which encouraged them to purchase another
boxer.
In
1961 they bought a fawn male called Style Setter
of Kargotor. In 1962 Style was awarded Top Boxer
In Canada and number Three in Working Group. He
was a Best In Show Winner in the United States and
a Multiple Best In Show Winner in Canada.
In
1973 Tradonalee Kennels was registered with the
Canadian Kennel Club. Since then the Verhults have
bred and owned numerous champions, multiple Best
In Show winners and Best In Specialty winners. Among
those include Am.Can.Ch.Tradonalee's Bismark SOM,
Am.Can.Ch.Tradonalee's Trade-Win (who was sold to
Australia where he went top sire in the country),
Can.Ch.Tradonalee's Classic Sensation Am.Can.SOM,
Am.Can.Bda.Ch.Carlon's Classy Catrina DOM, as well
as Can.Ch.Wylwin's Cinderella of Tradonalee DOM
who at the young age of 8 1/2 won 3 Best of Opposites
at American Specialties from the Veteran's Class.

In 1983 they purchased another female called Can.Am.Bda.Ch.Carlon's
Classy Catrina DOM. "Ruffian" as she was
called finished her Canadian title with a number of
group placements and in Canada was a multiple All
Breed Best In Show winner. In the United States she
finished from the classes by winning an All Breed
Best In Show. With two Best's from North America their
daughter Cora headed to Bermuda with Ruffian. Another
Best In Show win from the classes and Ruffian became
a champion in Bermuda as well. Ruffian produced Am.Can.Ch.Tradonalee's
Touch O' Class, Am.Can.Ch.Tradonalee's Olympic Spirit
and Can.Ch.Tradonalee's Classic Sensation who was
a Sire of Merit in Canada and the United States.
In
1979 Bob took an interest in judging. He started judging
the working breeds that year and by 1988 was qualified
to an all breed judge. After judging all over Canada
Bob began to judge abroad including the United States,
Brazil, Columbia, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwain,
Belgium, Argentina, Mexico, Singapore, Malasyia, and
Thailand. Sheila also caught the judging bug and is
also qualified to judge all breeds. She has also judge
in the contries listed above.
The
kennel has been associated with other breeds as well.
Their daughter Cora became interested in showing other
breeds and their kennel has been home toWire Fox Terriers,
Miniature Poodles, and American Cocker Spaniels along
with their first love, the Boxer. |
